Military Service
We have a good number of family members that have served in the military. Do we want to add information on this page to show our appreciation for all of their service?
A few served in World War II. They were in Europe and in the Pacific. A few were in the Illinois National Guard and were activated in the Korean War and were sent to California. During the Cuban missile crisis I recall some family members went down to Fort Knox Kentucky for about a year.
If you have information on a specific soldier: his picture, biographical information, pension records, etc., you may send that to me and I will add a new page for your "Soldier ."

Lael's in the military
I had just update this web site and added the photograph below of Thad Lael taken with Chuck Norris when I received an E-mail from Michael Lael (son of Bobby Lee & Jo Ann Lael) with this picture. Mike had his picture taken with Chuck Norris on board ship in the Gulf a few years ago.
Another Lael in the service of our country in Iraq. The soldier in the front row with the weapon is Thad Lael, the son of Chuck & Sally Lael. If you did not notice the the person in the middle of the back row is Chuck Norris, the movie star. Chuck was in Iraq to honor our soldiers.
This is Jessica Jackson, the granddaughter of Sue (Lael) Palmer. Here is Jessica in boot camp in 2006.
