Annual Lael Family Reunions
Over the last half century our Family has held an annual reunion. I can recall in the 1970's 80's we rotated the annual event between Springfield, New Salem and Jacksonville. If I recall correctly we always went to Nichols Park in Jacksonville and one of the large parks in Springfield located out by the fair grounds. I also seem to recall stories about the reunions being held at one or more of the family farms. More recently the annual gathering has been held in Jerome, Illinois at their civic center, thanks to Dale Lael.
